ETERNALS: EVERYTHINGISM
The film describes the most important moments of Ilia and Pablo Picasso's friendship, their joint publications and the history of Picasso's painting behind the portrait of Pirosmani...
One part of Zdanevich's historical archive is in Tbilisi, a large part is in the National Library of France, as well as in the center of Pompidou, and a small part is near Marseille, where the material is kept that is invaluable to Georgia and the world culture. It turned out that Iliazd was a great archivist along with everything: he wrote everything, could explain and formulate everything. The materials used in the film are from this archive: Unpublished personal correspondence, photos, publications, works...
The shooting of the film started in 2019 and moved to the active phase in 2023. During this period, research was carried out in the National Archives of Georgia, the National Museum, the National Library of the Parliament of Georgia, the archives of the Georgia’s Public Broadcaster, the Literary Museum, and the Ilyazd-club archive. Material from private collections is used. Filming was taking place in Batumi, Tbilisi, Garikula, Brussels (Europalia), Trigance, Saint-Syr-Sur-Mer, Paris, Leuville, Venice (Biennale).
